GAN is a new luxury footwear label built around a simple idea: the shoes a woman loves should be the ones she can actually live in. Designed with ease and longevity in mind, GAN brings together the softness and flexibility of a dance shoe, the casual confidence of a men’s loafer, and the distinctive character of 1970s icons.
The collection is the expression of founder Florence Gan, whose years as the owner and curator of Los Angeles shoe boutique Vamp have given her a rare fluency in footwear — not only in how shoes are made, but ultimately in what women choose to wear again and again. After years spent studying fit, construction, and the subtle attributes that make a shoe indispensable and unforgettable, Florence began designing from that accumulated knowledge. Her designs favor familiar forms made subtly unexpected — a proportion shifted, a detail borrowed from somewhere surprising, a classic silhouette given a little wit. Her debut signature shoe, the Bowler, transforms the visual language of a bowling shoe into a spare, elegant lace-up.
GAN is made in Lucca, Italy, by a small family-run atelier that has practiced traditional shoemaking for generations. Supple leathers, flexible construction, suede soles, and exceptionally soft finishing allow each shoe to mold naturally to the foot while retaining its shape. It is craftsmanship not for display, but in service of how the shoe feels, moves, and ages.
GAN makes luxury shoes for real life: footwear designed to be worn daily and to reflect the individual who wears them.
